Topic: Digitizing & transcribing an old cassette interview
Speaker: Doug Shaw
In 1980 my brother-in-law interviewed my grandfather about his early life, ranging from his marriage in NY to move to Fullerton, CA. My sister gave me the cassette which I was able to digitize, clean up with audio editing software, and transcribe to text. In this class we'll discuss the process, results, and lessons learned.
Classes on genealogy, family history, media/technology, and computer skills are held at 9 am (PT) on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of most months except January, September, and Decembers. Classes are designed for a variety of interests and ability levels and are often used as a refresher.
