Topic: Occupations of the British Isles

Once we have exhausted the main vital and census records, we start looking for other record types which may contain the names of our ancestors. Occupational records exists from Medieval times and contain many of those names. In this talk we will cover the reasons for the rise in trade from Norman times which lead to the power of the Guilds. We will explore which records are available in different time periods and how they can provide additional information about your ancestors.
