The Y Chromosome is carried only by males and passed from father to son during inheritance. As such it traces the patrilineal line for hundreds of years. Females wishing to trace their patrilineal line can ask a close male relative to test. This meeting will focus on what information can be derived from both STR and the Big Y testing.
