Guest speaker: Theresa Berns of Hanover, Germany
Theresa Berns, a native of Germany with a university degree in translation studies, shares tips to help in transcribing German church records. Ideas will be presented to help you decipher those sometimes difficult to read Kurrent, Sütterlin, and Fraktur characters. Theresa will show real-life examples and demonstrate some of the websites mentioned in the handout.
This meeting will be a hybrid meeting, meaning you can attend in person or via Zoom.
When you register please choose the option of how you will attend. Everyone will receive the Zoom log in information incase they can't make it in person.
