Please Welcome Our New Treasurer! Ray Brooks has been a member of SDGS since 2018. He has travelled far & wide to search for records and visit relatives he didn’t know he had until DNA came along. Ray has been in San Diego since 1963, and is now retired, living in the Escondido area. He worked in the computer industry for 25 years and then owned a property management company for another 25, along with being a Navy veteran. His interests are gardening, woodturning and genealogy. He has over 10,000 persons in his tree and works those records almost daily. His research has focused mainly in Pennsylvania where he was born. He is married, has 2 children, grandchildren, & 3 great grandchildren. Ray has been the treasurer of the San Diego Horticultural Society for the past 8 years and still serves in that position. His qualifications fit in perfectly for our needs with our society. Ray will serve out the current term for treasurer which ends at the end of 2024. Please look for him at the monthly meetings on Zoom. I encourage you to send him a welcome greeting in the chat section! |
